We care about Aflac’s policyholders affected by recent severe weather:
To help provide relief for Georgia policyholders affected by recent tornado activity, Aflac will implement a grace period on cancellations and non-renewals for affected policy holders, starting March 3, 2019, and ending May 5, 2019. This grace period also applies to any policy or contract provision that imposes a time limit on the insured or claimant to perform any act. These provisions will apply to the following counties specified by the Georgia Office of the Insurance Commissioner:
Grady, Harris, Talbot
For California consumers affected by recent storms:
To provide relief for California residents affected by winter storms and flooding between January 5, 2019 and February 25, 2019, Governor Newsom issued States of Emergency impacting residents of Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Los Angeles, Marin, Mendocino, Modoc, Mono, Monterey, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Shasta, Sonoma, Tehama, Trinity, Ventura, and Yolo counties.
Aflac has enacted a premium grace period from January 5, 2019 through April 22, 2019 to provide Policyholders residing in the impacted counties time to recover from the storms. Policyholders have until April 22, 2019 to resume premium payments without penalty or cancellation.
